Post Trips May 18-21
Ojo Caliente (this trip is May 18-19)
One of the oldest health spas in North America, Ojo Caliente is the only natural hot springs in the world with the remarkable combination of four mineral waters: Iron, Arsenic, Lithia and Soda. People have journeyed here for over 125 years to immerse themselves in the healing waters that flow from a geothermal aquifer. Volumes of testimonials filled with declarations of "miracle cures" abound. Whether folklore or not, generations of the faithful visit these waters, nearly 40,000 annually, to revitalize and rejuvenate.Participants: 10 max
Albuquerque

Ruidoso
Set high in the Ponderosa pines at the base of the Sacramento Mountains, Ruidoso is a mountain oasis rising from the desert of south-central New Mexico. The town's history is filled with the stories of Billy the Kid, cattle barons and the Old West all of which live on in the village's surrounding countryside. Today Ruidoso is home to some of the country's finest quarter horse and thoroughbred racing, a lively downtown area, the newly completed (3/05) Inn of the Mountain Gods on the Mescalero Apache reservation, the Hubbard Museum of the American West, the original Smoky Bear, alpine skiing and warm-weather recreation of all kinds.
