"Arkansas Remembers Pearl Harbor"
December 5 - 11, 2016
Fifteen Central Arkansas museums and attractions are joining together to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor that started U.S. involvement in World War II. Film screenings, family learning activities, exhibits and special discounts for veterans are part of the week's lineup.

North Little Rock Restaurant Month is coming up this January
Battle cabin fever this January with the annual North Little Rock Restaurant Month! We're partnering with the Little Rock Trojans basketball team again to give away free game tickets in exchange for showing us North Little Rock restaurant receipts during the month of January. Plus all sorts of fun social media giveaways, so stay tuned!

The Arkansas New Years Eve Ball Dropping Celebration
Spend New Year's Eve with the family this year at Dickey-Stephens Park! Free for kids five and under, the event features a 20-minute fireworks display, live satellite feed of Times Square, LED ball drop, six-hour concert of more than 10 multi-genre artists, an epic dance glow party, local food trucks and adult beverage vendors. And if you're hesitating because of the cold, they'll even have heating stations.

Jeff Dunham brings his "Perfectly Unbalanced" Tour to Verizon Arena Dec. 4
International comedy sensation Comic/Ventriloquist Jeff Dunham, along with his cast of hilarious characters, will be in North Little Rock December 4. Don't forget to grab lunch in the Argenta Arts District before the show!

Anuual Sertoma Christmas Parade and Northern Lights Festival
Join the North Little Rock Sertoma Club on December 4 at 3 p.m. at the intersection of Pershing and Main Streets for the annual Christmas parade, followed by the Northern Lights Festival in front of the City Services building. Carolers, Santa and Mrs. Claus, hot chocolate, candy canes and the annual tree lighting are always a big hit for bringing holiday cheer.

Big Rock on the Map: An Evening with Arkansas Actress Natalie Canerday
You're invited to spend an evening with actress Natalie Canerday at Pulaski Technical College's Center for Humanities and Arts on December 1. Canerday is an Arkansan most known for appearances in Sling Blade, Walk the Line, October Sky and numerous plays and musicals. Most recently she filmed episodes of Graham Gordy's Cinemax series Quarry.

Restaurant Spotlight: The Garden Bistro
The Garden Bistro, tucked in next to the Lakewood House Apartments at 4801 North Hills Boulevard, is a local favorite. The family-owned restaurant is run by Chef Eric Greer and is known for hearty breakfasts, soups, wraps and sandwiches.
