Navarre Beach is one of ten designated National Seashores. Historic Milton is known as the Canoe Capital of Florida. Together, these two towns - along with every scenic minute and mile connecting them - make a destination that's bigger than any one Florida vacation. Visit Florida's Playground!

What makes your destination special?

Navarre Beach, in Florida’s Panhandle, offers visitors an uncrowded, unspoiled and unhurried vacation option. Here you’ll find a relaxing blend of waterfront beauty and backwoods adventure that begs to be explored year round.

What’s one attraction that can’t be missed when visiting your destination?

Navarre Beach with its pure quartz sands and gemstone blue waves. This also includes the miles of pristine National Seashore on the Gulf of Mexico along with calm, protected bayside coves along the Santa Rosa Sound.

What story ideas will travel media uncover at your destination?

That Santa Rosa County offers two vacations in one.  All the beachfront recreation of Navarre Beach and Gulf Breeze along with the woodlands glamping, ziplining, hiking, tubing and kayaking inland in historic Milton and the Blackwater State Forest.  All of which are budget-friendly compared to some of the big name, over crowded Florida vacation spots.

What plans/events does your destination have scheduled that travel media should be aware of?

  • Zoo Lights – December 15th-30th – Enjoy the beauty of the Zoo at night illuminated with thousands and thousands of sparkling holiday lights.
  • Navarre Beach Mardi Gras Parade – Join us for the 2018 Navarre Krewe of Jesters Mardi Gras Parade on Feb. 3! The theme is Sun, Sand, and Surf – Mardi Gras at the Beach. Parade takes place on Gulf Blvd. and runs East to the Navarre Causeway.
  • A family friendly spring break where the recreational activities, special events, entertainment, and dining options are geared to parents with school kids,  not party animals.
  • July 4th Fireworks display – Enjoy a beautiful fireworks display right on Navarre Beach. Fireworks start at 9 pm on the 4th of July.
  • Beaches to Woodlands Tour (weekends Sept.-Nov.). Zip-line through fall foliage. Find your way through a corn maze. Meet artists, fish, run races and eat like a local. The Beaches to Woodlands events are a series of fall weekend activities sponsored by the Santa Rosa County Tourism Development Office. It’s a self-guided tour, allowing visitors to put together itineraries for long weekend visits, multiple weekends or extended vacations and take advantage of the season’s ideal weather and rates. Beaches to Woodlands features events from the shoreline of Navarre Beach in the south end of the county, to the wide-open spaces of northern Santa Rosa County.
