The Gift of Hope Concert presents Up with People in Sioux Falls

When the multinational cast of Up with People takes the stage as the entertainment for the Annual Gift of Hope Concert at O’Gorman High School in Sioux Falls on Sunday, March 13th, at 2pm and 6pm audience members will find something for virtually every musical taste and interest. Up with People previously entertained Sioux Falls as a part of the Gift of Hope Concert in 2014. The Gift of Hope Concert supports Catholic Family Services Gift of Hope Fund, providing support for people of all faiths, ages and walks in life who have experienced grief, despair, abuse, loss or pain of separation.

South Dakota State Adult Softball Tournaments Coming to Sioux Falls

Sioux Falls, SD – The Sioux Falls Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) attended the South Dakota Amateur Softball Association State Convention in Pierre, SD on Saturday, January 30 to bid for future state softball tournaments. Competing against several South Dakota cities the CVB secured two adult tournaments, both for 2016.

New Boutique Hotel Now Open in Lynden, WA

Lynden, WA officially welcomed its first boutique hotel December 28, 2015 when the 35-room Inn at Lynden opened its doors to travelers in the century-old Waples Mercantile Building at the corner of 5th and Front streets in the historic downtown district.

Falls Park Visitor Information Center Numbers Increase Over 2014

Sioux Falls, SD - The Falls Park Visitor Information Center hosted 197,065 visitors in 2015, a 5% increase over 2014 and 14% increase over 2013. Visitors who entered the Visitor Information Center in 2014 totaled 186,456. The 2015 number of visitors is also a record since it’s opening in 2000. The Visitor Information Center is managed by the Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau.

OKC Will Be the Exclusive North American Venue for Matisse Exhibition

OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City will be the exclusive North American venue to host "Matisse in His Time: Masterworks of Modernism from the Centre Pompidou, Paris." The exhibition will include 100 works of art, including nearly 50 paintings, sculptures and works on paper by Henri Matisse, as well as masterworks by Pablo Picasso, Juan Gris, Georges Braque, André Derain, Fernand Léger and Amadeo Modigliani. "Matisse in His Time: Masterworks of Modernism from the Centre Pompidou, Paris" will be on view from June 18 through Sept. 18, 2016 at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. The museum is one of only three international venues to host the exhibition, and is the only one outside Europe.
