Biography
Over the course of his 30-year career, award-winning journalist Buzzy Gordon has been a reporter, copy editor, columnist, bureau chief and travel writer on five continents. He has visited nearly 70 countries and lectures frequently on the subject of travel. In 2007, he became a regular contributor to the travel section of USA Today, a national newspaper with a circulation of more than 2.3 million.
After being one the team of writers that compiles USA Today's 10 Great Places column, Gordon joined the staff of Globorati.com, the premier luxury travel website for "jet set intelligence." His articles have also appeared (or will appear) in the publications National Geographic Traveler, Hispanic Magazine, Americas Magazine and Caviar Affair Magazine. Before becoming a full-time travel writer, Gordon was published in such prestigious media outlets as The Washington Post and The World & I Magazine and was quoted in The New York Times and Newsweek.
While he accepts a wide variety of assignments, Gordon specializes in international budget and luxury travel, particularly to Europe, Asia, Australia/Oceania and Latin America. Additional areas of focus include ethnicity and culture, rail travel, gastronomy and health and wellness spas. He writes extensively on Jewish communities around the world and is an advocate for sustainable tourism.
