Biography

After graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a journalism degree in 1986, I began working on "the other side of the fence" doing travel/tourism marketing for clients such as US Airways, Royal Caribbean and Virginia Beach Convention & Visitor's Bureau. In 1992, I left the pr/advertising agency side of the business to embark on a travel writing career focusing specifically on the family travel market. For the past few years I have been a Contributing Editor for Family Travel Forum, the largest subscriber-supported web site devoted to family travel, where I write a regular column in addition to doing feature stories. I also contribute on a regular basis to Family Travel Network. In addition to these two publications, I freelance as well.
