Biography
Ray Riegert is the author of nine travel books, including "Hidden San Francisco & Northern
California." His most popular work, "Hidden Hawaii," won the coveted Lowell Thomas Travel
Journalism Award for Best Guidebook. It has sold over 400,000 copies. He is also publisher of
Ulysses Press, which publishes a line of over 30 travel guidebooks. Ray has written for the
"Chicago Tribune," "San Francisco Chronicle," "Seattle Post-Intelligencer," "Travel & Leisure"
magazine and numerous other publications. He lives in Berkeley, CA.
