Biography

With more than three decades of international experience handling marketing projects for some of the top 100 consumer products and services, I have worked on both the client and advertising agency sides of the business. Those endeavors also served to whet my appetite for travel and helped hone my writing skills.

In addition to marketing consumer packaged goods products, I have successfully marketed cruise lines, airlines, and a dizzying array of restaurants, international destinations and destination resorts. The intimate associations I have had with those projects have invested me with an hoteliers and restaurateurs’ discriminating eye for service and quality.

My wife and I travel as FIT’s (Free Independent Travelers) doing all our own bookings and itineraries and our own driving. I do a good deal of my own photography. My wife is an expert on most things antique, and conducts extensive research on intended destinations prior to each writing trip. Our focus is on travel, antiquing, food, and wine . . . each of which, along with travel tips and recommendations on local accommodations, et al, may be included in every article.
