Dan Schlossberg

Biography

Dan Schlossberg is the only American journalist who covers travel and baseball exclusively. Among his 35 baseball books are The 300 Club, Baseball Bits, Baseball Gold, and autobiographies of Ron Blomberg and Milo Hamilton. Co-founder of NATJA in 1991 and the organization's second president, he became president emeritus in August 2009. Dan is travel editor of Sirius XM Satellite Radio's Maggie Linton Show and Chicago Scene; senior contributor to the 'Travel With Kal' radio show in southeastern Connecticut; and freelance writer for many newspapers, websites, and magazines, including numerous AAA publications and inflights. On May 19, 2011, he was presented with four plaques from the Garden State Journalists Association for best book ('The 300 Club') and first place in the categories of Radio Talk Show (Maggie Linton Show on Sirius XM), sports (Doc Gooden profile in MSP Mets Annual), and travel/lifestyle (Five Fine Flings for Fall in NJ Lifestyle). The former AP newsman is a lifelong resident of Northern New Jersey.
