With the Holiday Season in full swing, we would like to wish you Happy Holidays and thank you for continuing to be part of the NATJA Family.

Thank you to our members who shared with us their holiday greetings, along with what they’re grateful for this year. If you would like to share a greeting with fellow members, just send it to news@natja.org by December 28th for inclusion in the next NATJA Notes! From Jeffrey Lehmann

From Ronald KaponI am 82 years young and am grateful for many things. Family, friends and health. There is really nothing else. I can deal with my neuropathy as long as I still travel and write. Reached my 25th year teaching the wine & spirits program at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Working with my oldest grand nephew Nicholas Kapon on his college essay. He just sold his Instagram site (started at 13) for mid 6 figures. His Dad John Kapon heads the largest wine auction company in the world.

“That Hurricane Irma spared Lee County the worst and for the resilience and kindness shown by the community and employees of Lee County to help get back to normal after the storm.”

“For volunteers who give selflessly, working thousands of hours every year to help tourism businesses with great customer service, and to visitors and residents.”

“For the opportunity to represent such a beautiful destination every day.”

“That when it’s frigid in most places in the country, I can still pick up my newspaper outside in my bare feet.”

Dan Schlossberg

Since I will celebrate my 70th birthday in 2018, it is time to look back and thank the editors, publishers, and program directors who helped me along the way — and to thank fellow NATJA members for their friendship and support. I am very pleased, personally and professionally, at the growth of this organization, which began with six people meeting in a New Jersey hotel on a snowy night in January 1991. It was an honor to be there when NATJA was named and an honor to bear witness to the achievements so many members. Happy Chanukah, Merry Christmas, and a healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year to all of you.
