Happy August!
It doesn’t seem possible that we are now entering the month of August. Where has summer gone? The time seems to be all a blur with the continued safer-at-home guidelines and the downturn in tourism that is affecting media and our destination members. We are all doing the best we can to survive and regroup.
As part of our diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility committee work, you will soon be receiving a volunteer survey to better assess the makeup of our organization. Our committee has been working diligently to develop the questions which will result in a town hall for our membership.
We are also revamping the awards competition to adjust criteria to reflect the current state of tourism and media. We are working with the Advisory Board to adjust categories and requirements.
In the interim, be safe and remember, wear a mask, wash your hands, and practice social distancing.
