We begin to say goodbye to the dog days of summer and welcome the beauty of autumn and its magnificent display of colors. This is a time for the return to school and to prepare for the annual festivities related to the season.
With the change in seasons comes the start of the 30th Annual NATJA Awards Competition! All of the details for submissions can be found on our website at www.natja.org. The last 12 months have brought about many challenges for media and destinations. We sincerely hope that during this time you have written, posted, and shared your experiences and expertise with your outlets. We have surprises to share soon regarding prizes. Additionally, for our Canadian members, we are happy to share that you will be able to submit entries and pay in Canadian dollars, with no conversion fees.
Today we also begin taking registrations for our 2022 NATJA Conference in Puerto Rico, scheduled for May 3rd to 6th, 2022. The registration fee for media members is $699 USD, and that includes hotel accommodations at the Sheraton Puerto Rico. We also have a limited number of media registrations at $499 USD that do not include hotel accommodations. Payment plans for both options are available. As we start planning for next year, we will continue to monitor the CDC guidelines for Puerto Rico. We are confident that come May next year, we will all finally get to see each other once again. For more information on payment plans, please contact us at conference@natja.org.
The new issue of TravelWorld International Magazine, “Frolicking in the Fall,” is scheduled to be published on September 15th, so stay tuned. Just a reminder that this publication is written and photographed by our members so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity. The next issue is for the holidays and if you have stories for consideration, please contact our editor Joy Bushmeyer at joy@travelworldmagazine.com.
Stay safe!
Warmest regards,
Helen Hernandez
