Dine Around Options

Open to all registered attendees

At NATJA, we believe one of the highlights of every trip should be the food because that’s simply the best way to immerse yourself in a destination’s culture.

On the second night of our NATJA Conference, Wednesday, May 15th, Visit Galveston has arranged a “Dine Around” in which all attendees will get the chance to choose one out of six local restaurants to dine in.

Follow along for each restaurant’s description and start thinking of your top choice. There is something for everyone!

BLVD. Seafood

BLVD Seafood is the fifth installment to the well-known restaurant and bar owners of Yaga’s Café, Float Pool & Patio Bar, Tsunami Exotic Tequila Emporium and Beerfoot Brewery. Located on the corner of 28th and Seawall, this newly renovated beachfront restaurant seats 84 guests. The menu features plentiful fresh seafood options, many sourced from local providers Katie’s Seafood and Galveston Shrimp Company, with signature dishes such as the Gulf Coast Flat Fish Stack. The menu doesn’t stop there; patrons will also enjoy quality steaks and Broken Arrow Ranch Venison Medallions, a well-rounded wine list, cocktail menu and seasonal dessert menu-all made in house.

Gaido's Seafood Restaurant

An island tradition, for more than 100 years, Gaido’s serves a variety of Gulf Coast seafood along with homemade sauces, salad dressings and desserts. Gaido’s famous pecan pie is a favorite year-round and is shipped across the country to fans during the holidays! It has been named the best pecan pie in the state by Texas Monthly for several years and is featured in the Neiman Marcus catalog. For private events, the restaurant can accommodate groups of up to 300 people.

The Rooftop @ Hotel Lucine

Hotel Lucine is a fully revitalized 61-room boutique hotel located on Galveston’s beachfront in a structure originally built in the 1960s as Treasure Isle Motel. The new hotel features a pool and patio, plus a rooftop bar with 180-degree Gulf views. Here, guests will enjoy passed appetizers and drinks with a view of the Gulf. Hotel Lucine is the oldest remaining of a generation of mid-century beachfront motels in Galveston and is located on Seawall Boulevard at 10th Street.

Riondo's Ristorante

As a tourist or islander, you are sure to enjoy the matchless Italian cuisine of Chef Rico. The Riondo’s menu features comfortable favorites with notable Italian influence. Located in a historical building in the Strand District, you can relax in the restaurant’s artful setting, which is a popular destination for Happy Hour.
