North Little Rock, Arkansas, is a destination for all seasons, drawing people of all ages, interests and lifestyles with its small-town atmosphere and large-city offerings. From a World War II submarine to the last standing structure from “Gone with the Wind,” the story ideas here are endless.

1. ) What is your destination most known for?

North Little Rock is most known for The Old Mill, an outdoor art installation modeled after an old grist mill made by the renowned Mexican sculptor, Senor Dionicio Rodriguez. We are also known for festive events like Argenta Dogtown Throwdown, during which Main Street is closed to vehicles and the street fills with people for dining outdoors and enjoying live music. For the outdoor enthusiast, we’ve recently added a pump track at Big Rock Quarry Bike Park, which will soon expand with more to offer cyclists against a scenic backdrop of 200-foot bluffs by the Arkansas River.

2.) During this time, how can we enjoy your destination?

Spring and summer are excellent times to visit North Little Rock, Arkansas! Events are back in full swing and attractions like Dickey-Stephens Park – home of the minor league baseball team, Arkansas Travelers – and the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum with its World War II submarine are open. It’s the opening of farmers market season, the perfect time to explore local produce and meet the growers (and animals!). Every week, visitors can find live music and entertainment in North Little Rock’s Argenta Arts District: every second weekend of the month, Main Street closes for Argenta Dogtown Throwdown; every third Friday of the month, peruse local art during Argenta Art Walk; and every fourth Friday of the month, Argenta Vibe Music Series features local and regional musicians outdoors at Argenta Plaza.

If you are looking to enjoy the beauty of the natural state then visit Burns Park, one of the largest municipal parks in the country with 1,700 acres, or Emerald Park, located atop the bluffs of the Arkansas River.

3.) What hidden gem should not be missed when visiting your destination?

The Joint Comedy Theater is a cabaret-style theater and coffeehouse, offering live entertainment shows nearly every night of the week. With shows like The Main Thing, which stars veteran performers whose work has been featured on Saturday Night Live, Off-Broadway, and on Dick Clark’s United Radio Network, you are sure to have a night to remember!

4.) What’s one feature that can’t be missed when visiting your website?
