During this season, a must-see attraction is the Franklin Mountains State Park, where visitors can enjoy hiking, scenic views, and mild weather. The El Paso Museum of Art is also a must-visit, especially with its rotating exhibitions and cultural programming. Strolling through Downtown El Paso offers a great mix of history, dining, shopping, and local events that truly highlight the season.

When visiting El Paso, a few hidden gems truly stand out. Visitors shouldn’t miss Casa de Azucar, a colorful and unique art landmark that captures the city’s creative spirit. For outdoor enthusiasts, a hike to the Aztec Caves offers stunning views and a memorable adventure in the Franklin Mountains. How did you learn about NATJA and why did you join?
I learned about NATJA through industry peers and colleagues who spoke highly of the organization and its strong network of travel professionals. I joined to build meaningful connections with travel journalists, stay informed on industry trends, and share El Paso’s story with a wider audience through authentic and impactful media opportunities.
Is there anything else you feel travel media should know about your destination?
We are currently preparing for a lot of major events taking place in April and May. Provecho Amigo’s on April 25, were guests will get to enjoy flavors from different local chefs, across 10 different categories. El Paso was the only city in Texas selected to be part of the BTS Tour, hosting two live concerts on May 2–3. The following week, on May 13, Post Malone and Jelly Roll will also be performing in the city. In addition, El Paso will debut at the Sol Summit Music Festival on May 2–3, featuring an exciting lineup of artists. The El Paso Museum of Art is also showcasing a new exhibition, with the Frida Kahlo Exhibit now open to the public through May 17.
