May 16: A Letter NATJA’s CEO

Dear NATJA Family:
 
All I can say is, “We are back!” After this past week’s announcement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention relaxing the use of masks, we are confident that tourism will once again see a boom! Travel will be at the top of the public’s mind, especially after 14 months of missing our loved ones, their hugs, smiles, and laughter, and gathering with friends. The U.S. government’s aggressive approach to vaccinations has brought us to where we are today. We are hopeful that our Canadian neighbors will soon be in the same position.
 
What better way to welcome back tourism than attending NATJA’s virtual conference June 2-4! There may be a “new normal” so hear from the experts in professional development sessions how everyone is adapting. The Editors Panel is always a favorite as well as the Marketplace, where media and DMOs will meet one-on-one. Branding, whether you are a DMO or a travel journalist, is critical to success.
