Congratulations to the Rob Jerome Travel Journalism Scholarship Recipients!

Longtime NATJA and Advisory Board member Rob Jerome has established a scholarship to provide NATJA media membership for one year to undergraduate or postgraduate students interested in pursuing a career in travel journalism. We are happy to announce the first two recipients of the scholarship: Michel Williams and Nisani Walser!

Meet the Recipients

Michel Williams: A recent graduate of the University of Tennessee- Knoxville, Michel has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Electronic Media and Sociology. As a frequent consumer of travel writing content, she would like the opportunity to contribute her own work to the travel writing community. Click here to check out one of her published articles!

Nisani Walser: Nisani earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology with a concentration in Communications from the College of the Atlantic. A self-proclaimed foodie, from a young age Nisani has been a fan of Rachel Ray, Andrew Zimmern, and Anthony Bourdain and hopes to create meaningful connections over unique dishes, nature, and travel. Click here to read one of Nisani’s published articles!

Thank you to Rob for sponsoring the scholarship and encouraging the next generation of travel journalists.
