Two weekends of free public recreational classes and performances at Argenta Plaza
NORTH LITTLE ROCK (Thursday, April 7, 2022) – The second year of Ballet Arkansas Presents Live at the Plaza, featuring free recreational classes and performances, will be held Thursday, April 28 – Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Argenta Plaza at 510 Main Street in North Little Rock. The event is sponsored by the North Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau and ACANSA.
“In the inaugural year of Live at the Plaza, we welcomed 1,530 attendees to our free, outdoor performances and more than 100 participants to our recreational classes,” said Michael Fothergill, Ballet Arkansas’s Executive and Artistic Director. “We hope to continue our momentum at the Plaza this spring and to reach new audiences that may not have experienced the power and beauty of a Ballet Arkansas performance. Ballet Arkansas is ranked among the nation’s top 100 ballet companies by the Dance Data Project, and central to our mission is providing Arkansans of all backgrounds with access to world-class dance programming. Live at the Plaza will include fan favorites from our 21-22 season (The Great Gatsby, Coppélia & the Toymaker, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons), as well as the fiery Act III Don Quixote pas de deux, the ethereal Act II Giselle pas de deux and additional contemporary works. There will be something for every taste.”
