MENA, Ark. – The Arkansas Office of Outdoor Recreation will host a public event on Feb. 3, 2026, focused on the Natural State Initiative Opportunity Zone and the role outdoor recreation plays in economic growth in the Ouachitas.
The program will highlight The Trails at Mena, the economic impact of outdoor recreation and opportunities to encourage private investment while enhancing the visitor experience around Queen Wilhelmina State Park and The Trails at Mena. Attendees will also learn about available sales and income tax credits for new and expanding businesses, as well as opportunities for promotion and collaboration with Arkansas State Parks and Arkansas Tourism.
The event is designed for local businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, bankers and lending institutions, real estate professionals, advertising and promotion commissions, chambers of commerce and media.
