Grapevine, Texas — The Lone Star Hi-Railers model railroad club of Grapevine, Texas is proud to announce the 12th annual model train show, Train-A-Palooza, will be held at the city’s Convention Center and will run for two days. According to the Model Railroad Club, the event held has been a success for the last 10 years in Grapevine, Texas. The club has the entire Convention Center.
The event will attract model train enthusiasts from all over Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri and Kansas. Vendors will include club members as well as private members from the region to attend. Never before has the Lone Star Hi-Railers sold out all the 205 tables to vendors as early as they have for the 2026 train show ..
Lionel, MTH, Williams, K-Line, Atlas model trains of all gauges and Woodland Scenics Ready Built Buildings both new and pre-owned along with kids toys and accessories will be available at the train show.
Train-A-Palooza will include sales tables and working model train layouts of all gauges/scales.
Kids train-related toys and clothes will be offered at the train show too.
Choo Choo Express trackless train rides will be provided in the parking lot.
Working train layouts will be provided by;

• Texas Special (0 gauge layout)
• On30 Outlaws (0 gauge layout)

The entry ticket price for the public will be $10 for Adults, $2 for children 11 years of age to 18 and children under 10 years old are free with accompanying adults. All scouting organizations members in uniform will be admitted free. Admission will provide access to the train show both days and to the Lone Star Hi-Railers huge three rail O gauge model railroad layout inside an actual 65 foot-long baggage car, located in the historic Grapevine railyard area. Show hours are Saturday 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday 10 am to 3 pm.
The Grapevine Shuttle will be free to attendees and run from the TexRail train station to the Club’s baggage car train layout to the Convention Center and back to the station on both days. Parking at all
locations is free, and TexRail train service will be running from Fort Worth and the DFW airport.
Lone Star Hi-Railers has been located in Grapevine, Texas for over 17 years and feels strongly that the city is a natural location for model train activities because of the city’s focus on real trains. The club’s headquarters on W. Dallas Road one block north of Highway 114/121 interchange. Lodging is close to the convention center with free parking and unique restaurants can be found all over the city.
The Grapevine Convention Center is located at 1209 S. Main St., just a block north of the Highway 114/121 interchange.
