Jayme Moye writes about travel, mountain sports and culture, and pushing the limits of human potential. Her award-winning freelance work appears in Outside, Conde Nast Traveler, and Canadian Geographic, among others. She is the former managing editor of Elevation Outdoors, and a former adventure news correspondent for Men's Journal. Her personal essays have been anthologized in multiple books, including The Best Women's Travel Writing series and Vignettes and Postcards from Paris. She is co-author of On the Nose: A Lifelong Obsession with Yosemite's Most Iconic Climb, a 2017 Best Book Award Finalist.
Jayme is the first woman to have been awarded the North American Travel Journalists Association's Grand Prize in Travel Journalism more than once: in 2014, for reporting on Afghanistan's first female road-bike racing team, and in 2018, for breaking the story on sexual harassment in the river-raft guiding industry in the U.S. In 2019, she became the first woman to win the Keith Bellows Award for Excellence in Travel Journalism, honoring the work of the longtime Editor-in-Chief of National Geographic Traveler as an advocate for the importance of travel and its power to transform and teach about the world, cultures, people, and economies. Jayme is also the 2019 recipient of the Banff Centre Mountaineering Article Award for Mountain Literature, and a 2020 Lowell Thomas Awardee for Adventure Travel Writing.
She is a dual American-Canadian citizen, who moved from Colorado to British Columbia in 2017.
