Susan Lanier-Graham is the founder, publisher, and editor-in-chief of Wander With Wonder, an award-winning online magazine celebrating food, wine, luxury travel, and lifestyle experiences. She launched Wander in 2009 after two decades as a freelance writer and speaker. A specialist in fine dining, luxury travel, and wine, Susan helps readers discover the “wow moments” that make travel unforgettable. In 2021, Wander With Wonder received a prestigious SATW Lowell Thomas Award for Best Travel Journalism Website.
From 2021 to 2025, Susan served as managing editor of North Peoria Lifestyle. She is also an editor and industry consultant for the Newsweek Readers’ Choice and Fans’ Choice Awards. Her bylines appear on Marriott.com, Fairmont.com, AmericanExpress.com, TravelandLeisure.com, and in publications such as AAA, Montage Magazine, Modern Luxury, and 405 Magazine. She has written over 70 nonfiction books and held editorial roles with Travelocity, Grapevine CVB, and Pace Communications.
In addition to her editorial work, Susan offers online courses and digital publications for aspiring and established food, wine, and travel writers. Through her educational platform, she helps writers hone their storytelling skills, understand the business side of freelancing, and build thriving writing careers rooted in their passions.
Susan holds a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Maryland and a Master’s in Social Science from Regis University. A Certified California Wine Appellation Specialist, she is a SATW Bronze award winner and serves as a board member and press trip co-chair for IFWTWA, where she is also part of the 2025 conference planning committee. She and her husband travel full-time in their luxury fifth-wheel trailer, always in search of great food, compelling stories, and exceptional wine.
