My husband and I began co-writing restaurant reviews in Hong Kong, publishing them in Foodie HK, the premier online food magazine. We reviewed dives where nary a word of English was spoken, the crockery was chipped, the seats were overturned buckets, the service was brusque, and the food revelatory. And we reviewed magnifico Michelin restaurants where the food soared operatically. Soon we expanded beyond restaurant and food writing to hotel and travel reviews. Returning to the United States, we continued writing reviews and posting them to our website (www.ardentgourmet.com). And we began publishing restaurant reviews with the Tillamook County Pioneer online newspaper which receives over 10,000+ visits a day.
In 2022 we started publishing travel and food articles with Northwest Travel & Life magazine (with a total Monthly Engagement of 184,000) which are displayed here. I've been a principal, a school teacher (where I was chosen by students as Washington State's “Most Favorite Teacher”) and owner of a marketing firm. I've lived with my husband (David Greenberg, also at TravMedia) in Oregon, Washington, Morocco, and Hong Kong. Currently we're in Oregon.
