I’m a veteran award-winning travel writer and photographer who took a buyout from The Detroit News after 36 years as a staff writer/travel writer, w/ additional bylines in Delta Sky, Midwest Living, Toronto Star, Chicago Sun-Times, Dallas News, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Golf for Women, Where to Retire, AAA, Prevue Meetings, cruisecritic.com and other publications. My recent freelance stories and photos have appeared in The Detroit News, Journal & Topics Newspapers (suburban Chicago), Michigan Blue mag, thewinebuzz.com, wanderwithwonder.com, quirkycruise.com, Lakeland Boating, Northern Michigan Golfer, Ohio Golf Journal, and more. I’m an avid golfer, foodie and good traveler who has visited six continents, dozens of countries, islands and outposts, and 49 states. North Dakota here I come! I’m currently packing for two weeks in Spain with the Society of American Travel Writers’ Freelance Council, plus some DIY travel with my daughter who lives in the Swiss Alps.
