1. What got you into travel writing?
Stepping onto new adventures is always exciting, and it’s even more fulfilling when shared with others. Because of this, we have turned our passion for traveling into inspiration, hopefully enabling people to share not just emotions but moments.

2. What’s the most challenging part of being a travel journalist for you?
We always are aware of how lucky we are that we get to see and experience the world. To see others that do not respect the wildlife, the environment or the local culture is a challenge.

3. What is one thing [equipment or personal item] you can’t go without on the road?
Our cameras and electrical adapters.

4. What’s your most unusual and/or memorable travel experience?
We have had so many memorable travel experiences, it is difficult to give just one. Tracking Jaguars in Brazil and flying to the Arctic to experience Polar Bears come to mind. Also, road-tripping from Germany through Italy is always special.

5. How did you learn about NATJA and why did you join?
I had seen that other travel bloggers and travel writers were members so I wanted to check it out. Once I did, I knew we wanted to join.

6. What is the best piece of advice you could give to a rookie travel journalist?
Just write and post what you know. You won’t be very good at the beginning but you will get better. And over time, people will want to follow you. And take thousands of photos, because out of those thousand, you will want to share 4 or 5.
