Dear NATJA Family & Friends:
It has been one month since we received our “Stay-At-Home Order” here in California. Venturing out for essential trips has its challenges and require us to “gear up” with a face mask, gloves, hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes.
Life, for the foreseeable future, has changed dramatically.
In times like these, cottage industries evolve. In this case food delivery services, mask creation and production, and environmental cleaning services have exploded. In our own ranks, many of our members have created masks and we are happy to share information on how to make them as well as samples. Thank you to our members willing to share their creativity. This is our “new” normal, at least for the time being.
We want to hear from you and how you are dealing with these challenging times. You can send your written thoughts on what you are doing during your self-quarantine or send a video that we can share with members. NATJA will share it on the FB group page, on the website and NATJA Notes.
In an effort to support our members, NATJA Is providing an additional 2 months to your annual membership. Every member will be extended upon renewal. You can defer your dues for 2 months or have it extended for 2 months after your payment. As a convenience to members, we continue to provide a payment plan.
We are planning additional webinars to provide professional development for the membership. As these are confirmed, we will send you a notification. Thus far, our webinars have been useful and well-received. If there is an interest in how to apply for COVID-19 economic assistance, please let us know.
Lastly, the NATJA Advisory Board meets weekly to discuss the state of the industry and ideas that are of concern/interest to media and CVB/DMOs. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
We are thinking of all of you and wishing you good health during these difficult times.
Remember: Wash your hands frequently, wear your mask and stay at least 6 feet away from each other when venturing out.
Warm regards,
Helen Hernandez
