Arkansas Tourism Director Travis Napper named to Travel South USA Board of Directors

Travis Napper, director of Arkansas Tourism, has been named to the board of directors for Travel South USA and will serve as the 2020-2021 chair of the Advertising Committee. Travel South USA is the official regional destination marketing organization for the southern United States. 

“Being named to the board of directors for Travel South USA and serving as the chair of the Advertising Committee is a great honor,” said Napper. “I am happy to help showcase The Natural State as the standout tourism destination it is. Tourism is among the largest industries in Arkansas, providing substantial economic impact for communities large and small across the state.”
 
Before being named director of Arkansas Tourism in 2020, Napper served as president and chief executive officer of the Ruston Lincoln Parish Convention and Visitors Bureau in Ruston, La. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Louisiana Tech University and earned the Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) designation in 2016. He has served on several tourism industry boards including the Destinations International Foundation and the Louisiana Travel Association. His work has garnered awards including the Southeast Tourism Society’s 2020 Shining Example Award for Tourism Office of the Year and the Louisiana Travel Association’s Louey Awards in 2019 for Outstanding Convention and Visitors Bureau of the Year and in 2018 for Festival/Event of the Year.
