According to the North Little Rock History Commission, developer Justin Matthews debuted the residential subdivision Park Hill in 1922, advertising it as a competitor to Little Rock’s Pulaski Heights neighborhood. Most homes reflect the Craftsman and Craftsman Bungalow architectural styles, with some Period Revival styles. Recent updates to the area include an influx of new businesses and updates through the City of North Little Rock’s Jump Start program to improve walkability such as larger sidewalks in the business corridor.
