Five free, public performances at Argenta Plaza
NORTH LITTLE ROCK (April 26, 2023) – Due to forecasted inclement weather, Ballet Arkansas and North Little Rock Tourism have made the difficult decision to postpone Ballet Arkansas Presents Live at the Plaza: Culture in Community at Argenta Plaza, 510 Main Street in North Little Rock to fall 2023.
“Performing for our community at the Argenta Plaza is one of our favorite programs of the year. Due to the likelihood of rain in the forecast for all but one of our performance dates, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule Live at the Plaza to the fall of 2023. We look forward to presenting a unique program to kick off the 23/24 season. We are grateful for the continued support of North Little Rock Tourism in providing this free program to the public and look forward to sharing more details on May 1st,” said Catherine Fothergill, Associate Artistic Director.
Sponsored by North Little Rock Tourism and the City of North Little Rock, Ballet Arkansas Presents Live at the Plaza performances includes works of classical and contemporary dance by world-renowned choreographers and make use of the stage, water features and open spaces in Argenta Plaza.
“We are greatly disappointed to not be able to bring Live at the Plaza to the community this weekend,” said Erica Warden, Director of Events. “However, we are grateful to have partners like Ballet Arkansas and are already working on a reimagined, entertaining fall program.”
Ballet Arkansas will reveal the rescheduled dates for Live at the Plaza as part of its 2023-2024 season announcement on May 1st. For updates, visit www.balletarkansas.org. To see Ballet Arkansas in action before the end of the 2022-2023 season, please join them for “New Works” at the newly re-imagined Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts on May 4th and 6th.
Despite the inclement weather, there will still be plenty of activities in North Little Rock, including Argenta Vibe Music Series featuring Shinyribs on Friday, April 28, at Argenta Plaza. For more information about dining and other things to do in North Little Rock, visit www.northlittlerock.org.
