Dear NATJA Family and Friends:
Spring has arrived but we continue to experience unseasonal weather. Please stay vigilant and careful as these climate issues continue. Whenever possible, stop to smell the flowers or enjoy the birds and the butterflies. These last few days, I’ve had the pleasure of relishing the beauty of the U.S. Capitol’s cherry blossoms and tulips. I have been in Washington, DC as part of my Board of Trustees responsibilities for the National Parks Conservation Association to support our national parks. I met with Congressional Representatives and Senators to increase funding and add to our existing national parks and monuments. It is always an exhilarating experience to make a difference at the national level.
We are coming down to the wire for our conference next month in Fairbanks and I look forward to seeing many of you there. You still have time to register if you have not done so. There is so much to explore and experience in what is often referred to as “The Last Frontier.”
Enjoy the upcoming holidays and be safe!
Warmly,
Helen
