Shelly is a Lowell Thomas Award-winning author and the recipient of several NATJA awards including the Gold Prize in Guidebooks, Silver and Bronze in Independent Travel Blogs, and additional awards for Special Focus Travel Articles. The San Francisco-based mom of 3 continues working as an author, blogger/web publisher, and freelance writer with a focus on family travel. She's currently under contract with Globe Pequot for a family hiking guidebook to be published in spring 2023.
