Started in 2013 Pinefest  has grown over the first three years, from a 1 day outdoor concert into a to 2 day outdoor music festival, and  attendance has grown by almost 50 percent since the first year.  Pinefest  brings in world class bands and musicians from throughout the NW and as far away as New York to this tiny hamlet in the foothills of the Wallowa Mountains in NE Oregon each September the Friday and Saturday after Labor Day.

2016's festival featured three headliners on Friday including the Friday Night All Stars, Polly O'Keary and the Rhythm Method,  and Dodgy Mountain Men.  Saturday's headliners included Dk Stewart and Pocket Change, with guest guitarist Portland blues legend Robby Laws, Jellybread, Swill Billy, and Wayne Worthen.

In addition to this all star lineup on the main stage the festival showcases local and up and coming talent, on the second stage,  giving local performers a chance to share the stage with these regional acts, and treating attendees to more than 20 bands and musicians during the festival   Pinefest is well on the way to establishing themselves as one of the premier music festivals in Eastern Oregon.  Pinefest is a charming small town music festival showcasing the quaint small town of Halfway in the foothills of the Wallowas with some of the best musicians in the Northwest.
