She is a former adventure news correspondent for Men's Journal, and the former managing editor of Elevation Outdoors.
In 2014, the North American Travel Journalists Association awarded Jayme its Grand Prize in Travel Journalism for her work reporting on Afghanistan's first womenâs bike racing team. And again in 2018, for breaking the story on the underlying culture of sexual harassment in the river rafting industry. Jayme's personal essays have been anthologized in The Best Women's Travel Writing and Vignettes and Postcards from Paris. She is co-author of On the Nose: A Lifelong Obsession with Yosemite's Most Iconic Climb, a 2017 Best Book Award Finalist.
